Policies
General Information
We do not permit auditing of classes. Students must enroll prior to attending a class. If the course you registered for is filled, we will place your name on a waiting list. There is a $30 service charge for returned checks. Students must be 18 or over to attend classes. We reserve the right to discontinue, postpone, combine classes and/or change instructors.
Refund/Credit
We will refund your full tuition, or issue a credit in the event that your class is cancelled due to low enrollment. If you withdraw from a class 3 business days before the first session, we will send you a full credit voucher or a refund minus a $10 processing charge (allow 10-15 business days to process). We regret that no refunds can be granted after the first class session has been held. No refunds or credit vouchers for no shows. There are no refunds for one day classes, trips, materials or books.
Transfers
Prior to the second session one transfer between classes can be arranged if space is available. The Adult School Office must approve all transfers.
Senior Discount
The fee for seniors, 55 years of age or older, is $20 off per class, excluding material/lab fees. There is no senior discount on classes marked with an *.
Gift Certificates
Beverly Hills Adult School classes provide special experiences and make wonderful gifts. You may purchase a Gift Certificate for any amount up to the full tuition of any course in our brochure.
Complaint Procedures
The school district has established a policy for filing complaints concerning school personnel. Contact Mr. Sal Gumina, Assistant Superintendent at (310) 551-5100.
Sexual Harassment Policy
District policies explicitly prohibit discrimination and sexual harassment of any kind. Copies of pertinent policies and Uniform Complaint procedures are available from the Adult School Office at (310) 551-5150.
