RECONFIGURATION UPDATE:  EDUCATION REIMAGINED

Dear BHUSD Families,

 

We’re pleased to share the next update from the Steering Committee on reconfiguration planning initiatives.

 

Student Orientation 4/25 - Save the Date!

On April 25, all TK-8 students will participate in an orientation (8:30am - 11:30am) to welcome students to their new school campus and encourage students to get to know each other.  Organized activities, new school spirit wear and bus transportation will be provided. Details to be shared by end of March.

 

Middle School Athletics Program

The BHUSD Athletics Department is planning our exciting new competitive sports program for Beverly Vista Middle School which will compete in the FIYA League (Foundation for Interscholastic Youth Athletics).  All BHUSD incoming Middle School students were invited today by email to express their interest in the programs offered in Fall, Winter, and Spring for the 2019-2020 school year. All levels of players, beginners through advanced, will represent our new Middle School.

  • Fall: Flag Football, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Girls Volleyball
  • Winter: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball
  • Spring: Boys Volleyball, Track and Field, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer

  • Intent to Return Form is due by March 4 - every student currently enrolled in our school district is required to complete.  Students will then be automatically enrolled from their current school to the new combined Elementary and Middle Schools.
  • Intra-District Transfer Requests will open from May 15 to May 30 for Elementary parents/students.  Applications will be available on bhusd.org website to submit electronically.  Parents will be notified in July.

 

PTA - Nominating Committees Selected for All Schools

All K-8 PTA’s have been working diligently to organize the elections process for both Elementary Schools and Middle School new PTA Executive Boards for the 2019-2020 school year.  Nominating Committees for all schools will be finalized this evening. If you would like to nominate yourself or a friend for PTA Executive Board Role, please complete the forms below:
